MWCIL’s Young Adult Social Group is an opportunity for young adults with disabilities to get together and talk about their lives, learn about their rights, and develop skills for Independent Living. And there are snacks! The group is held in-person at MWCIL.
When: Mondays, 4:30 – 6 pm

Driving Permit Prep

MetroWest Center for Independent Living offers a 5 week course that will help you get ready to take the learners permit exam. The workshops will assist you in studying for your driver’s permit test. The classes are available in-person or on-line via zoom. You can start at any point in the program.
Eligible students are between 16 and 22, and in an educational program. If you are older than 22 and interested, please call for additional opportunities.

- Types of housing available in the MetroWest area
- Navigating subsidized and affordable housing
- Conducting your own housing search
- Communicating with housing authorities, agencies, and landlords
- Completing applications for voucher programs
- How to request reasonable accommodations for your disability
