Legislator's Forum
Each February, MWCIL invites all of our local representatives and senators to join us and Easter Seals for a discussion about Independent Living and Assistive Technology, and how important they are to the MetroWest community. The 2012 guest list included Senators Karen Spilka and James Eldridge, Representatives Chris Walsh, Tom Sannicandro and Daniel Winslow, Joe Bellil from Easter Seals, Sam, a consumer who spoke for Easter Seals, and MWCIL consumers, Mary, Ron and Richard. Paul and Joe spoke about the needs for this year. The four consumers spoke about how pleased they are with their progress working with Easter Seals and MWCIL. The photo gallery

MA Independent Living Education Day - Wednesday, April 4, 2012
The annual Massachusetts Independent Living Education Day is our opportunity to educate our legislators on what independent living means to people with disabilities. We usually organize a trip to the State House for staff and consumers to tell their stories directly to the legislators.
